Do you ever feel like you get caught up in "whats next" in life?
I know I do.
I can't help that I am a woman who LOVES to plan.
Because if there is a plan, there is structure… safety… security....
Yes, those things are great for many things in life… but are they necessary ALL of the time?
I was talking to my mom this morning about life, and navigating through decisions and trying to figure out what I am "supposed" to be doing. I expressed both frustrations and excitement about my future, and trying to map out what happiness and success looks like for me.
As we got to talking, she said to me "Melissa…. it is OK to not have a plan for everything".
Easier said than done, Mom....but she has a point!
In life, we often work so hard to set up a concrete plan for ourselves, outlining specific details which we often have very little control of. I really believe that everything happens for a reason, and happens when it is MEANT to happen. Having faith in a higher power, whether it be God, the universe, or whatever you choose to believe, can keep us grounded in the idea that things will work out as they are meant to, we just have to trust in the timing of it.
So as you move throughout your day, try to let go of your attachment to planning and concrete outcomes. Be present in the moment and allow things to unfold as they are meant to <3
